Geography Teacher – North Sheffield (S5) | Elevate Supply
Elevate Supply is excited to be working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in North Sheffield (S5) to recruit a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Geography Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire young minds and foster a love of Geography in a well-supported and forward-thinking educational setting.
This full-time teaching role is to begin as soon as possible and will run through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension or a permanent post.
Pay Rate: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
The Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You'll bring the world to life in the classroom, using creative teaching strategies and real-world examples to spark curiosity and deepen students' understanding of the planet and its people.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
3. Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners across varying ability levels.
4. Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions.
5. Engage in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
6. Contribute to departmental planning, collaboration, and curriculum development.
7. Work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student success.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. A strong academic background in Geography or related field.
3. Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
4. Passion for your subject and a commitment to student progress.
5. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
6. A reflective, professional approach to teaching and learning.
7. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Location: Based at a popular secondary school in North Sheffield (S5), easily accessible from areas such as Shiregreen, Parson Cross, and Wincobank.
