Overview
The Joseph Rowntree School is looking to recruit an exceptional Pastoral Administrator to support the School’s Pastoral Team in a wide range of activities.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Staff a student reception, provide administrative support, act as the first point of contact for the team, book meetings and visits from other professionals, and organise the completion and distribution of documentation.
Must be a team player, build positive relationships with students and all staff, maintain strict confidentiality, be dynamic and flexible, and seek better ways of working. Demonstrable experience in key areas is required, and willingness to learn new skills is essential. Work closely with subject matter experts while maintaining the ability to carry out tasks independently and develop appropriate systems.
Highly organised, reliable and able to prioritise conflicting workloads. Possess strong ICT skills, familiarity with databases and various software packages, an excellent telephone manner, and effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Positive approach is essential; working in schools is rewarding but challenging, with varied daily demands.
