Maintenance Welder / Fabricator Location: Loughborough Salary: £44,600 per annum The Opportunity We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Welder / Fabricator to join a leading, independently owned building materials group. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-focused, and capable of delivering high-quality welding and fabrication work in a demanding production environment. While experience in heavy industry or concrete manufacturing is beneficial, we welcome any competent welder/fabricator with strong mechanical skills and a proactive drive. Your Responsibilities Welding & Fabrication: Carry out high-quality MIG and stick welding; fabricate, repair, and modify plant structures including chutes, hoppers, guards, platforms, and moulds. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform mechanical repairs on mixers, conveyors, material-handling systems, and batch plant equipment. Wear Protection: Complete hard-facing and wear-protection welding to extend component life in high-abrasion environments. Preventative Care: Support planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective activities to ensure plant reliability.
