About The Role
Full-time | Hybrid (2 days per week from home) | Harlow
We are looking for a committed and skilled Oncology Pharmacist to join our team on a 6‑month fixed‑term basis. In this hybrid role, you’ll contribute to the smooth running of our Oncology service, ensuring exceptional standards of patient care and supporting day‑to‑day clinical and operational activity within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Support
* Provide expert clinical advice to colleagues and support high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
* Undertake clinical verification of prescriptions in line with GPhC and BOPA guidelines.
* Offer timely clinical support to medical and nursing teams.
Operational Excellence
* Contribute to continuous improvement across Central Pharmacy operations.
* Collaborate with wider teams to ensure safe, efficient service delivery.
* Support colleague training, assessments, and involvement in key business initiatives.
Onboarding & Training
* Assist with onboarding of new patients and services.
* Develop prescription templates and training materials.
* Deliver both operational and clinical training to ensure a knowledgeable, confident team.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
* Maintain adherence to SOPs and best practice in prescription processing.
* Ensure compliance with GPhC, RPSGB, GMP, and MHRA standards.
* Participate in audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a GPhC‑registered Pharmacist with oncology experience, ideally within a hospital or homecare setting. You’ll have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay focused in a busy clinical environment.
Essential requirements:
* Completed or working towards BOPA SACT Passport 2 A, B & C (solid tumour and haematology)
* Experience working on oncology wards
* Competence in clinically screening Oncology SACT prescriptions
* IV oncology experience
* Involvement in chemotherapy ordering
* Experience using electronic prescribing systems such as iQemo
* Experience in clinical decision‑making
* Proven ability to train and upskill pharmacy team members
