Purchase Ledger Clerk (Part-Time)

Salary c.£24K – £27K FTE DOE
On behalf of our client, McKinty Associates are delighted to invite an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the busy Finance team within this wholesale business. The purpose of this role is to process supplier invoices and payments for a few companies within the Group.
It is envisaged that the hours will be c.24hrs/week but this may fluctuate slightly
**This position offers mixed remote and office-based working**
Key duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Processing and matching invoices to the purchase order and posting to the system.
2. Processing overhead invoices to appropriate companies and codes.
3. Reconciling supplier statements.
4. Dealing with supplier queries.
5. Prepare fortnightly payment runs for allocated companies.
6. Ensure all adequate controls are maintained around the invoice posting and payment process, including intercompany.
7. Liaise with purchasing teams across the Group.
8. Maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
9. Assist in month end close of all purchase ledgers.
10. Ad hoc duties as required to assist Group Financial Controller and Assistant Accountant.
Eligibility criteria:
11. Experience working as part of a busy finance team (2+ years)
12. Practical knowledge of computerised accounts packages
13. Good communications Skills (High standard of English / Maths essential)
14. Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel and Word
15. Strong Analytical skills
16. Ability to use own initiative and work to strict deadlines
17. Have a methodical and meticulous work aptitude
