The Position

Apprenticeship Duration: 13 months + EPA
Location: Reigate
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (office‑based with occasional client site visits)
Salary: 16,000-18,000

As an apprentice, you'll work directly with our technical team, gaining hands‑on experience across all areas of IT support while helping us deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Apprentice IT Technician to support our clients both remotely and occasionally on site. You will learn to troubleshoot technical issues, install and configure hardware/software, assist with cloud services, and maintain customer environments to a high standard.
This is a client‑facing, hands‑on role ideal for someone who loves problem solving and wants to grow into a full IT Support Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
· Provide 1st‑line and assisted 2nd‑line support via phone, email, and remote tools.
· Diagnose and resolve issues related to Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, networking, printers, and applications.
· Escalate complex issues when required.
Device Setup & Deployment
· Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
· Deploy monitoring agents, antivirus, remote support tools, and management software.
· Assist with device rebuilds, migrations, and rollouts.
Cloud & Microsoft 365 Administration
· Support onboarding/offboarding processes in Microsoft 365.
· Manage permissions, reset passwords, and configure security policies.
· Assist with Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, mailbox configuration, and email security.
Networking & Infrastructure
· Help document client networks, WiFi, printers, and hardware setups.
· Provide assistance with router/switch configuration, WiFi troubleshooting, and connectivity checks.
· Support general network maintenance tasks.
Customer Service & Communication
· Communicate professionally with clients across various industries.
· Update and maintain service desk tickets and documentation.
· Represent the comany Services positively when visiting client sites.
Cyber Security Support
· Assist with phishing simulations, MFA setups, patching and security checks.
· Monitor alerts and support proactive cyber‑security tasks.
Documentation & Asset Management
· Maintain asset registers, client documentation, and internal knowledge bases.
· Record device, network and software information accurately.
Requirements
· Full UK driving licence (for occasional site visits).
· Strong interest in IT and tech problem solving.
· Clear communication and willingness to learn.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Positive, customer‑focused approach.
Desirable (Training Provided)
· Basic understanding of Windows/macOS.
· Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
· Basic networking knowledge.
· Any IT coursework, home labs, or personal projects.
