Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a KS2 SEN Teacher.
Responsibilities
* Support in the oversight of the KS2 curriculum alongside teaching KS2
* Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students
* Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports
* Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn
* Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children\'s progress
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
* At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
* QTS/QTLS is advantageous

About Broadwood School
Broadwood School is a specialist setting set in the idyllic hills of Halifax with provision to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Through targeted interventions such as Lego Therapy, Drawing and Talking and Speech and Language, we aim to encourage pupils to develop their skills around self-regulation, managing emotions and effective communication.
Broadwood School is on a journey to becoming a Trauma Informed School, where we consider the external factors which can lead to contextually inappropriate behaviours. To ensure the best outcomes for our pupils, we invest in our staff training and development to ensure our staff are trained to support pupils through proactive de-escalation.
