We're partnered with a well-established live production and events business operates across large-scale sporting, entertainment, and commercial projects in the UK and internationally. The team supports complex, fast-moving operations where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are critical to successful delivery.
The Role
We are hiring an Operations Administrator to join the busy operations team based on-site in Preston. This role sits at the heart of the office and supports live projects through day-to-day coordination, purchasing, and operational administration. You will be the person who keeps things organised, moving, and controlled behind the scenes.
While this is an administrative role by nature, it is not a passive support position. You will be trusted with responsibility, expected to apply judgement, and comfortable questioning requests where needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Raising and managing purchase orders.
* Booking travel and accommodation for project teams.
* Coordinating people and logistics at an operational level.
* Managing consumables and assets, including ordering, receiving, packing, and distributing items to project crews.
* Acting as a central point of contact for day-to-day operational requests.
* Supporting multiple stakeholders across the business with accuracy and consistency.
* Maintaining clear records and ensuring spend is tracked and controlled.
Who You Are
* Highly organised and detail-focused, with strong follow-through.
* A clear and confident communicator, comfortable dealing with senior colleagues and delivery teams.
* Able to challenge requests appropriately, asking “why” and sense-checking urgency and necessity.
* Comfortable acting as a gatekeeper, particularly around spending and purchasing decisions.
* Calm under pressure, with the confidence to hold boundaries without becoming obstructive.
* Practical, sensible, and solutions-oriented.
* You will be trusted with responsibility, including managing company spend, so good judgement and accountability are essential.
Your Background Might Include
* Operations or administrative roles in fast-paced environments.
* Logistics, coordination, or support functions.
* Office-based roles requiring prioritisation, purchasing, and stakeholder management.
* Experience supporting delivery teams, projects, or field-based staff.
