Head of Marketing - Lead Iconic Brands in Pet!
Are you a visionary marketing leader with experience in FMCG? Do you have a proven track record of building and growing multi-million-pound brands? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Marketing to join our high-performing marketing team. In this role, you will spearhead the strategy for our market-leading wet and dry pet food brands, driving growth, innovation, and brand love.
This role can be based in Crick, Northampton, or Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Results: Lead a marketing team to achieve local partition & portfolio and budgeted sales & profit targets. Translate central portfolio strategy into actionable brand plans and retail execution strategies.
* Create Portfolio Strategies and Brand Plans: Use data insights to develop actionable plans for sales and retailer engagement. Set a compelling year +1 brand plan aligned with central strategy, with clear success measures.
* Communication and Media Planning: Develop communication plans to increase brand awareness and engagement, and manage media plans to maximize ROI. Oversee trade marketing and activation plans for retailer engagement.
* Innovation Planning: Lead NPD and EPD initiatives to develop a healthy pipeline of innovations that align with brand strategy and drive growth into new channels and needs. Manage portfolio renovation for maximum consumer and cost advantages.
* Commercial and People Leadership: Contribute to the Commercial Leadership Team, optimize resource deployment, and lead the local team to deliver results through an engaged and focused approach.
* Decision-Making Authority: Responsible for A&P within budget, and for branded sales and profit targets.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
* Degree qualification with significant postgraduate experience
* Extensive commercial experience in a branded FMCG business
* Proven success in business growth and brand building
* Operational FMCG understanding, ideally with private equity experience, and cross-functional expertise
* Strong relationship management skills; pet industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory
The Offer:
* Location: Thirsk or Crick (Hybrid - 3 days on-site)
* 20% annual bonus scheme
* Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
