Logistics Operative – £27,500 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Denham
A leading engineering manufacturer in Denham is seeking a Logistics Operative to join their Stores team. The role involves preparing, packing, and labelling components and products for internal movement and external dispatch, while supporting wider operations across Stores, Raw Materials, and Internal Transport.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform primary and final packing of products and components to required standards and customer specifications.
* Check batch numbers, part details and quantities in SAP, reporting any issues or discrepancies.
* Use correct packaging materials and ensure all items are clearly labelled for identification and delivery.
* Confirm delivery information and ensure all shipments are prepared accurately and on schedule.
* Work closely with shipping and logistics teams to support dispatch activities.
* Carry out quality checks and self-inspection of completed work.
* Train and support activities across Detail Stores, Raw Material Stores and Internal Transport.
* Pick, pack and issue materials and stock accurately.
* Receive goods from production and external suppliers into Stores.
* Transport goods across the site using forklifts, pallet stackers and other handling equipment.
* Assist in Raw Material Stores operations, including basic saw work.
What You’ll Need
* Experience in logistics, stores, or packing within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Basic IT skills, including Word and Excel.
* Strong communication skills and a methodical, accurate approach.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
* A positive attitude with willingness to learn new skills.
