Salary Range: £70,009 - £73,770 per annum (Soulbury 22 - 25 plus up to 3 SPA points) plus a market supplement of £5,500 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Improvement Manager to join our School Improvement team at Hampshire County Council.

The Role:

Leading a team of primary phase and subject inspectors you’ll work closely with headteachers, governors and others who have influence in school to meet the needs of individual learners and improve outcomes for all children and young people in the designated district council areas. You will be a senior Local Authority officer and as such will be expected to take on wider work across the county and influence and develop county practice and thinking. This role may also include some cross phase secondary / special improvement work.



You will have experience of being a headteacher of at least one primary school with a successful record in leading and supporting school improvement and the capacity to develop cross-phase work. You will have experience of project managing school improvement initiatives and you will also possess demonstrable people-management skills.

* A convincing track record of successful impact in primary/early years education settings, particularly the improvement in the outcomes achieved by all children.
* A team player with strong collaborative skills.
* Experience of providing high quality leadership to others that inspires confidence and professional growth.
* Experience of undertaking detailed analysis of education performance using a range of data types and sources to create an accurate analysis that informs strategic planning.
