Deaf Support Teaching Assistant (BSL Level 2) – Gateshead
A fantastic school in Gateshead is looking to appoint a Deaf Support Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
This rewarding position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with hearing impairments and communication difficulties.
Main Duties:
* Providing communication support using British Sign Language
* Assisting pupils during lessons and school activities
* Supporting individual learning plans
* Encouraging confidence and independence
* Promoting positive social interactions
* Monitoring and supporting pupil progress
We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Holds a BSL Level 2 qualification
* Has strong communication skills
* Is enthusiastic, reliable and patient
* Has experience working with children or young people (desirable)
* Can drive and travel independently
