Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: Gateshead Contract Type: Long term Leader Education are recruiting a conscientious Learning Support Assistant to work within a small Gateshead based alternative provision. Pupils within this school have a range of behavioural, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and therefore, will require a Learning Support Assistant who can offer support and create a positive proactive environment. The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position. Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you. The successful candidate will: Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one. Have experience of working in a transferable role or with SEMH individuals. Lead activities with individuals or small groups to facilitate educational development. Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported. Provide a stimulating and well structured learning environment suitable for pupils with SEMH. Be flexible and resilient. Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support.
