Locum Paediatric Consultant with Endocrinology Interest – Ref: 249202
We are seeking a paediatrician with substantial knowledge and experience of paediatric endocrinology and diabetes, for a locum consultant position based at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. The post includes contribution to the general paediatric rota and consultation on a pro‑rota basis, with flexibility for part‑time work and special strengths.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as consultant of the week on pro‑rota basis.
* Contribute to general paediatric rota.
* Provide specialist care for paediatric endocrine and diabetes patients at secondary or tertiary level.
* Support service when required, including flexible working arrangements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC.
* Substantial knowledge and experience in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes.
* Experience working in secondary or tertiary paediatric services.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital is a 93‑bed specialist paediatric unit providing inpatient and outpatient care, with a comprehensive range of services and a strong community outreach. The hospital has approximately 8,000 annual attendances and is staffed by a dedicated team of consultants, specialists, doctors and trainees.
