This is a full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) with a shift pattern that includes nights and weekends. It offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
* Provide planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical resources supporting heating, cooling, domestic water systems and equipment, in accordance with the Schedule of Programmed Maintenance.
* Ensure all planned maintenance works are completed within target start and completion timeframes.
* Respond to and finish all reactive works in line with contractual SLAs.
* Complete all corrective and remedial works, recording them accurately.
* Report corrective and remedial works that require other skillsets or external contractors.
* Maintain the integrity of critical systems to minimise asset downtime.
* Use PDA accurately to record all information, data and details of works undertaken.
* Complete all maintenance documentation, electronic and hard copies, ensuring full accuracy.
* Develop safety programmes for mechanical and medical gas works in line with EQUANS Safe Systems of Work and SHTM 02‑01, acting as Appointed Person for the relevant discipline. Issue medical gas permits as required.
* Issue Limitation of Access Permits to contractors working outside normal hours, at height, hot works, etc.

Who are we looking for?
* Completed an HNC or equivalent in mechanical installation/repair, or pipework installation/repair on heating and cooling systems.
* Effective communication skills and a flexible attitude to work situations.
* Full Driving Licence.
* Excellent administrative and software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, PDA).
* Familiarity with the healthcare sector and day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of varying types of building premises (desirable).
* Experience/qualifications in a technical capacity relating to SHTM 02‑01 Medical Gas or PSSR Appointed/Authorised Person and/or Competent Person (desirable).
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Disclosure Scotland Discretionary Check (PVG Level).
