Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, including experience in assisted living, nursing homes, and dementia care. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, as you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and developing care plans tailored to the needs of our residents.
Duties
* Supervise and manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Lead and mentor a team of caregivers and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
* Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
* Coordinate activities and programmes that enhance residents' quality of life, including social events and therapeutic activities.
* Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff performance, and operational procedures.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for residents with varying needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Requirements
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* Background in nursing or senior care management is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of dementia care principles and practices.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising teams effectively.
* Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance matters.
