We are looking for Care Assistants to offer person-centred, high-quality care for elderly and vulnerable people who live in and around the Bishop's Stortford area. Your companionship, living assistance, and personal care will help people lead more enriched and independent lives in their own homes. If you have experience as a Care Assistant, that is always of interest. However, past experience is not essential. Full training will be provided to those who share our values and genuinely want to make a difference in others' lives.
The role of Care Assistant
The core of the role is to assist our clients, mainly elderly and vulnerable, helping them live their lives their way. You will support their independence, right to choose, and their preference to live happily, safely, and securely at home.
What does this Care Assistant job involve?
Each person has a tailored Care and Support Plan, which may include:
* Companionship: Building relationships, providing social and emotional support, supporting hobbies and interests, accompanying clients to community activities, appointments with GPs, dentists, or hairdressers.
* Help with Daily Living Activities: Meal planning and preparation, assisting with medication, shopping, laundry, or light housework.
* Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, washing, dressing, oral care, or continence care.
* Safeguarding: Identifying and reporting signs of abuse or potential abuse.

The practical requirements for our Care Assistant
This role requires:
* Ownership of a car and a valid UK driving license. Most calls are over 1 hour, with none less than 30 minutes.
* Flexibility to work shifts between 8am and 8pm, including some weekends.
