1. MB ChB, MBBS
2. Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), or eligible for registration within six months of interview.
3. This must include at least 8 years working in the speciality of anaesthetics. Of these 8 years of Anaesthesia (at least 2 years' experience must be within hospitals in the UK). At least 1 referee must be an Anaesthesia consultant.
Desirable
4. Higher Medical Degree (MD or MSc)
5. Six month advanced general training
6. Record of regular attendance at National Specialty meetings
