Cleveland Golf Club - Course Manager
Cleveland Golf Club was established in 1887, our course is the only true Championship links, and also the Oldest Course in the County of Yorkshire. Over the clubs history, it is known that a few architects have had involvement in the design of the golf course, the most famous being Old Tom Morris, Harry S Colt, and then in 2000 Donald Steel, who designed three new holes. In 2007 the club hosted the English Golf Union County Finals, and many other County and Professional events, and is the home to the Amateur scratch competition the Cleveland Salver. In August 2011, the club hosted the Yorkshire County Team Championship. In the August of 2017, we held the prestigious Yorkshire Amateur Championship and subsequently two England Golf Competitions. In 2027 our 140th Anniversary, we are hosting the Brabazon Northern Region Qualifier and a Yorkshire event.

Key Responsibilities
The Course Manager should have NVQ Level 3 and will be responsible for all aspects of general management and maintenance of the course and driving range, ensuring all is kept in top condition. This role requires effective leadership skills and the ability to manage and integrate with a highly dedicated team.
The successful candidate will maintain and improve a structured course maintenance schedule to ensure that we continue to offer a challenging but fair test of golf the whole year round.
To maintain and repair all golf course machinery and equipment.
To manage the inventory of essential supplies e.g. fertilizers, seed, chemical and tools, ensuring timely purchases.
To be qualified in pesticide control and application.
To have a record of good working practices in the areas of Health Safety and Environment, including Risk assessments and COSHH etc.
