Family Solicitor/Executive
Location: Crossgates / Chapel Allerton (Leeds)
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 plus bonus
Experience: Experienced Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (private family)
Our client is recruiting a Family Solicitor/Executive to join its Family team, working across two Leeds branches. This is a privately funded Family role with a varied caseload, strong support, and clear scope to build your profile within a growing, people‑first firm.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will manage your own caseload of privately funded Family matters, including:
* Divorce and financial remedy work
* Separation matters
* Nuptial agreements
* Children arrangements
* Domestic violence matters
Key responsibilities will include
* Managing matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
* Drafting statements, applications and other court documents
* Handling new client enquiries and providing clear, practical advice
* Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
* Preparing and maintaining accurate file documentationWorking with central services to support billing and recovery of fees
* Instructing counsel and experts where required
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
* Strong experience handling privately funded Family matters
* Excellent client care with a professional, friendly approach
* Strong drafting skills and confidence preparing court documents
* Organised, methodical approach with strong attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise, work at pace and meet deadlines
* Confident IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
* Team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative
