1. Job Title: Senior Architectural Technologist

3. Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technologist with a strong working knowledge of Revit to join our expanding Technical Team in Bromsgrove. In addition to delivering high‑quality technical design information, the role will act as a Divisional Revit Advocate, supporting consistent working practices and day‑to‑day use of Revit across the team.
The position remains firmly hands‑on and project focused, working on multiple retirement apartment schemes concurrently under the direction of the Divisional Senior Technical Manager. Alongside core technical responsibilities, you will provide practical guidance to colleagues, helping maintain drawing and model quality, coordination and information consistency.
This role is well suited to an experienced Architectural Technologist who enjoys using Revit as part of live project delivery and is comfortable supporting others through shared standards, templates and good working practice.
Technical & Project Delivery:
4. Produce and coordinate detailed technical design information for retirement apartment developments
5. Prepare drawings and models primarily using Revit, with legacy AutoCAD information converted where required
6. Convert and maintain standard apartment layouts and standard technical details into structured 3D Revit models
7. Produce site‑specific technical details to support construction
8. Check and approve suppliers’ and manufacturers’ technical information
9. Liaise with NHBC and statutory bodies to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations and standards
10. Attend monthly site meetings as required
11. Liaise with external consultants to ensure coordinated, high‑quality technical outputs
Divisional Revit Advocate:
12. Act as a local point of contact for Revit usage, supporting best practice within the division
13. Assist with the development, maintenance and consistent use of the divisional Revit standard library
14. Support drawing and model coordination to help ensure information is clear, accurate and suitable for construction
15. Review models and technical outputs for consistency, structure and quality
16. Assist with coordination reviews and clash identification where required
17. Help ensure project information is clearly structured and easily accessible for internal and external stakeholders
18. Provide informal guidance, mentoring and first‑line support to Revit users within the team
19. Share feedback and practical improvements with the wider technical function to support continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
20. An HNC, HND or degree in a construction‑related discipline (preferably Architectural Technology)
21. At least 3 years’ experience in a REVIT based role, with ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field
22. Proven experience delivering technical design information for residential or multi‑storey apartment buildings
23. Good working knowledge of Revit, supported by experience and proficiency in AutoCAD
24. An understanding of coordinated model working, including:
25. Logical model structure and drawing organisation
26. Consistent naming conventions and version control
27. Basic coordination and clash awareness
28. Sound document and information management practices
29. High competence in producing detailed technical construction drawings
30. Excellent organisational and time management skills
31. Strong communication skills, with the confidence to support colleagues in a collaborative environment
32. A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
33. A professional and discreet manner, as the role may involve advance access to potential development sites
