Contract Scotland are working on behalf of a well-established fit-out contractor to source an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for a 12-month freelance assignment starting in August.
This is a site-based role on a £4m fit-out project in Glasgow. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on safety professional who can help ensure compliance and foster a strong safety culture on site.
The role:
- Overseeing all aspects of health and safety on a busy construction site.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Supporting the site team with safety documentation and method statements.
- Liaising with subcontractors to promote best safety practices.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working on construction sites, ideally commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with trades, site managers, and senior stakeholders.
- Available to commit to a 12-month contract on a freelance basis.
