Silcock Leedham, an RSK Group company, are recruiting for an BIM / Revit Technician to join the Leeds team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
* Production of technical drawings in both 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit environments
* BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows and project set up
* Coordination of MEP services within a federated BIM environment
* Work to 'Best Practice' workflows as required and consult with Central BIM Group to ensure changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated
* Review of clash reports with the project team, and the general contractor and lead this process when needed
* Technical management of project BIM data sets
* Manage and maintain project content and source additional content for project teams
* Provide technical support for BIM enabling software applications to the project team
* On BIM enabled Projects, information roles and duties as defined in ISO 19650 and / or the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
* Keeping abreast of all new developments in sustainability systems and new training schemes available
* Helps ensure quality standards and technical accuracy are delivered
* Actively contributes to sharing technical knowledge across the Business
* To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, you may be asked to perform additional tasks that may be reasonably expected within your level of capability without additional remuneration
* Being aware of your obligations under the SLCE / RSK Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Policy, and that work is conducted in accordance with the policy at all times
* Helping create and maintain a positive safety culture, always leading by example
* Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental incidents and complaints are reported and investigated and that action points are successfully closed out
* Contributing to the RSK SHEQ KPIs including raising NMPIs and participating in Project Reviews
* Requires close attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications and Experience:
* Major project BIM experience on projects in Autodesk Revit and associated technologies
* In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP and above, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of using Revit on design/construction projects
* In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience of running clash detection, and producing clash reports
* In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM360
* Good knowledge of 2D/3D AutoCAD
* Experience of working in a project coordination role for MEP engineering projects.
* Ability to use AI to create efficiencies in workflows is preferred.
* Knowledge of Dynamo for Revit, and the ability to read and write scripts is preferred.
* Previous experience with BIM projects on site, and mobile technologies used on site is preferred.
