This is an exciting opportunity within a progressing and important department where you will continue the work to transform workflow management within UK Security Vetting (UKSV). Your role will be critical to the way we shape our future delivery plans across the organisation.
Job description
As Assistant Head of Delivery Workflow, your role will require you to;
� Play a pivotal role in the workflow management, building key plans for forecasting and reporting, providing a holistic view of workflow
management.
� Analyse business data, identifying trends and risks; providing valuable bench marking as well as timely insights to various stakeholders.
� Balance workflow across all work streams to achieve optimum results.
� Review performance data to plan the management of workflow, monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators.
� Provide support to the Head of Delivery, including representing at various boards and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
� Role model exceptional leadership, working flexibly across boundaries, building capability in line with Professional Standards and undertaking
regular activity to build and sustain engagement.
� Act as key advisor to senior leadership on delivery workflow management plans.
� Lead on design of new Management Information to support the workflow management and reporting requirements.
� Line management responsibilities and acting as a role model to provide a continuous improvement and growth mindset.
� Lead and motivate teams into high performance.
� Be a resourceful, self-starting leader, delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment and leading large communities to deliver high levels of performance using teaming and matrix management concepts.
� Lead effective implementation of workflow management of cross-skilled staff, flexible, multi-disciplinary delivery teams within UKSV, whilst
enabling transformation and embedding a continuous improvement culture.
� Monitor service delivery performance to inform high level discussions obtaining customer and end user views of delivery performance.
� Significantly influence the successful delivery of UKSV qualitative and quantitative outcomes.
� Apply skills and knowledge in using management information to drive performance improvements. Have accountability for safe and secure
governance in your area.
� Liaise with Delivery Strategy teams to understand the customer demand, forecasts and workflow delivery assumptions, ensuring they are
robustly challenged and supported for overall delivery performance.�

Person specification
As Assistant Head of Delivery Workflow within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for someone with the following expertise and attributes:
� Strong leadership experience, both personal and corporate, in changing circumstances, with experience of leading and motivating high
performing teams.
� Experience in leading a workflow department & concept and creating a culture where workflow is assigned to people based on their strengths
and skill, to improve productivity and keep employees more engaged.
� Personally, taking responsibility for delivering a timely, high quality and cost-effective service with focus and energy.
� Ability to empower and make changes that add value, with a strong focus on improved outcomes and performance by encouraging innovation,
giving people the space to take initiative in flexible interdependent communities.

Experience:
Essential:
� A proven track record of supporting and developing workflow management process for a large complex teams in a� � fast-paced delivery environment.
Desirable:
� Experience of supporting significant business transformation within an organisation.
Additional information:
A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. Although requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.

Alongside your salary of �53,400, Cabinet Office contributes �14,418 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
