The Engineering Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.
Responsibilities:
1. Core technical skills in operating systems (Linux – Rhel), databases ( Oracle, Mongo DB), middleware/application layers ( websphere, ngnix, tomcat), message queues (IBM MQ, Kafka)
2. Strong scripting and automation skills eg phython, shell scripting and experience in AI/ML will be an added advantage.
3. Work with various internal and external teams to identify and resolve problems
4. Consult with end users and clients to identify and correct systems problems or propose solutions
5. Assist in the development of software and systems tools used by integration teams to create end user packages
6. Provide support for operating systems and in-house applications, including third party applications, as needed
7. Perform coding, analysis, testing or other appropriate functions in order to identify problems and propose solutions
8. Adhere to Citi technology standards, audit requirements and corporate compliance issues and requirements
9. Apply knowledge of engineering procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to day to day activities
10. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
11. 2-4 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
12. Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
13. Project Management experience
14. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
15. Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
16. Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
17. Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
18. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
19. Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
20. Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

21. Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
