Management Accountant | Hybrid – Bristol office (min. 1 day/week) + WFH | Full time (37.5 hrs) or Part time (min. 22.5 hrs/week) | 6-month FTC (with potential to extend) | c.£43K (Pro Rata)

Our client is the professional body for the healthcare finance profession. They’re here to support their members with practical resources, insightful thought leadership, personal growth and CPD opportunities, and an influential network that helps shape the future of healthcare finance.

They’re now seeking a Management Accountant to join their team — someone who can bring expertise, energy, and a collaborative spirit to strengthen the finance function.

The Management Accountant Role:

As Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. You’ll be trusted to manage core financial processes while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

* Preparing monthly management accounts and related financial statements
* Performing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy
* Managing deferred income calculations and inter-company reconciliations
* Assisting with supplier payment runs and cash management reporting
* Producing insightful budget vs. actual performance reports
* Preparing ad hoc reports for senior management
* Supporting wider finance projects and process improvements

About You:

* CIMA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) status OR 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of Sage Line 50 (or similar finance package)
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, Power Query)
* Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a positive “can-do” approach

Desirable (but not essential):

* Experience with Power BI or Jet reporting
* Knowledge of NHS finance and governance
