We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and understanding schematics to perform maintenance and repairs effectively. Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals
* Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for assembly and disassembly of vehicle components
* Conduct equipment repairs and ensure all work is completed to high standards
* Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as required
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs
* Engage in welding tasks when required for vehicle repairs
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair
* Familiarity with schematics and the ability to interpret technical documents
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
* A valid driving licence is preferred
