M&E Manager – Barking Project: Energy from Waste Project We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Manager to join our client on a major Energy from Waste project in Barking, with a total project value of £40M and an M&E package worth £8M. The project is expected to complete by February 2026. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all M&E aspects of the project, currently in the design phase Conduct design reviews and identify discrepancies or design issues early on Monitor on-site construction activity and ensure works are delivered to the required standards Liaise and coordinate with specialist subcontractors, as well as the internal civils and management teams Ensure quality assurance across all M&E installations Interface with the nominated commissioning contractors appointed by the client Supervise installation and commissioning of systems including: Ventilation and air conditioning Fire alarm systems Full sprinkler system Additional Info: Civils are self-delivered by the main contractor All specialist M&E works and commissioning will be subcontracted out The ideal candidate will have strong Project Manager or Site Manager -level experience with a proactive approach to coordination and issue resolution
