Job Title: Project Manager Location: Office base in Watford, with site visits across the Western M25, Reading, Leatherhead, Salisbury, Trowbridge, and Midlands Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE) Employment Type: Permanent Reporting To: Associate – Regional Office Lead About the Company We are a dynamic and fast-growing consultancy focused on supporting public sector capital works, particularly in education and healthcare. Our work spans from funding application support through to full project delivery, including contract administration and project management. We are building a new regional team in Watford and are looking for two experienced Project Managers to join us and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects while mentoring future junior staff. The Role You will be responsible for overseeing projects from post-funding to completion, managing stakeholder relationships, contract administration, and site delivery. The role suits a Project Manager with 5 years’ experience, ideally from a Building Surveying background, and with strong familiarity with JCT contracts. Key Responsibilities * Manage full project lifecycle for new builds and condition improvement works (values from £200k–£4m) * Oversee contract administration under JCT D&B, Minor Works, and Intermediate contracts * Liaise with clients, consultants, designers, and contractors * Conduct regular site visits and ensure smooth delivery and issue resolution * Produce valuations and payment notices; manage variations * Ensure compliance with all H&S obligations * Participate in contractor tender processes (as needed) * Support the development and mentoring of graduate or junior staff over time Requirements * 5 years of project management experience (ideally with Building Surveying background) * Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contractors * Strong working knowledge of JCT contract forms * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to regional sites * Confident, proactive communicator with strong organisational skills Desirable * MRICS, MCIOB or similar professional accreditation * Experience working on education or healthcare schemes * Previous mentoring or line management exposure What’s on Offer * Salary: £50,000–£60,000 (depending on experience) * Car allowance included in package * BUPA private health options * Annual CPD budget professional fees paid * Employee incentives including electric car scheme (pending rollout) * Friendly, inclusive team with strong emphasis on diversity and career growth
