Personal Advisor
* Annual Salary: £18.34 - £20.86 per hour

Join our dedicated team in Tameside as a Personal Advisor, where you can make a significant impact on the lives of young people transitioning into adulthood. This role is crucial for those who have experienced adverse childhood experiences, providing not just support but a pathway to a brighter future.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Work within statutory guidelines and departmental procedures relating to young people leaving care, including asylum-seeking children.
* Engage in office-based duty systems and undertake direct work with young people and relevant individuals in their lives.
* Implement child protection procedures and work with young people to maximise their involvement in community-based activities.
* Liaise with other agencies on behalf of young people, ensuring their wishes, views, and feelings are considered in all matters.
* Offer support and attend forums planning for education, training, employment, accommodation, housing, and health services.
* Maintain files in accordance with policy and promote awareness of safe care and protection.
* Plan, attend, and carry out pathway plan assessments and visits in line with statutory guidance.
* Organise and facilitate groups with children and young people, contributing to the development of the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 Care of children and young people/NNEB/BTEC equivalent qualification.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, families, and professionals.
* Experience in administration, organising, planning, and recording.
* Skilled in completing needs assessments and producing plans of work.
* Strong prioritisation skills with a focus on anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice.
* Empathetic approach in engaging young people and families under stress.
* Proficiency in IT and contemporary methods of recording information.
* Motivated and committed to achieving required practice standards.
