Job description:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution completion of planning tasks in support of the key customer contracts. This will require you to deal face to face, over the telephone, MS Teams and through messaging devices with drivers on the road and other departments and partners in the business. You will liaise with overseas depots to ensure accurate loading and data feedback on all shipments relative to your area. You will manage the day-to-day challenges by liaising with other departments to ensure resolution.
How you create impact
* Pre brief overseas depots of planned loading manifests in accordance with KN procedures
* Liaise with all departments on planning changes where necessary using company systems to create visibility
* Record collection/delivery status and discrepancies in dotnet system and escalate where appropriate
* Move freight outside of standard parameters when needed by working with the trucking team
* Recovering increased costs and lost revenue through correct administration
* Administrate all transport runs to the correct standard, eliminating disruption and additional workflows for other teams
* Balance costs for most effective ways to deliver a service factoring set costs, overtime, additional equipment and subcontracting
* Using planning systems as well and manual planning for various workflows
