Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering new build residential developments across the North West.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute individual capable of taking ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account while supporting the wider commercial objectives of the business.The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project finances, subcontractor procurement, cost reporting, and commercial risk across multiple residential developments.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the commercial delivery of new build residential projects from pre-construction through to final accountPrepare subcontractor enquiry packages, analyse tenders, and manage procurement activitiesNegotiate and appoint subcontractors in line with project budgets and programme requirementsManage subcontractor accounts including valuations, variations, payments, and final accountsPrepare and maintain accurate cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projectionsMonitor project costs and identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunitiesEnsure projects are delivered within budget while maximising profitabilityWork closely with operational and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achievedAssist with the preparation of client valuations and commercial reportingEnsure contractual compliance and effective administration of subcontract agreementsMaintain accurate commercial records and project documentation throughout the project lifecycleSupport and mentor junior commercial team members where requiredRequirementsPrevious experience within a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor roleNew build residential experience is essentialStrong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processesProven experience managing subcontractor procurement and accountsAbility to manage project costs, reporting, and forecasting independentlyExperience delivering residential developments from inception through to completionCommercially aware with strong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environmentDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferredGood IT skills including Excel and commercial reporting systemsDesirable:Experience working for a main contractor or developerKnowledge of JCT contractsExperience delivering projects ranging from traditional housing schemes through to apartment developmentsPrevious experience mentoring junior team membersWhy Apply?Excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly respected construction businessStrong pipeline of secured residential developmentsExposure to large-scale new build residential projectsSupportive and collaborative commercial team environmentClear progression and long-term career development opportunitiesCompetitive salary and benefits packageApplyIf you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today by applying to the role.We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
