Overview
Were looking for a compassionate, organised and values-driven individual to join Foster Care Values as a Supervising Social Worker.
We offer hybrid working two days from home, three days working in the office based in Kinmel Bay, LL18 5JA.
Overall Purpose / Aim Of This Role
To represent Foster Care Values (FCV) Vision and Values while providing a comprehensive and flexible social work service to foster carers and children/young people as required.
Core Tasks
* Support and supervision of foster carers
* Safeguarding children and young people
* Take responsibility for administration in relation to the social work task
* Attend meetings and/or provide reports for Commissioning Teams to address individual packages of care
Key Requirements
* Hold a Social Work qualification as recognised by Social Care Wales or Equivalent body
* Comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant legislation to childrens services as well as publications which inform current thinking regarding good practice and the Safeguarding of Children
* Ability and willingness to travel extensively on a variety of road systems and possess a full driving licence
* Experience of working with Foster Carers and Young People (desirable)
