Location: Hybrid – Hemel Hempstead

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic beverages, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn, as well as soft drinks such as J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence. The company also holds the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

About the role

As Brand Manager for Premium Beer, you will set and lead every aspect of brand strategy, annual planning and execution from outset to delivery. Reporting to the Marketing Controller – Premium Beer, this role will play a key part in our success journey. You will be involved in the following.


Role Responsibilities

* Deliver the premium beer brands for growth and positioning, creating and managing asset creation and approvals — bringing the brands to life across the commercial function to build engagement and inspire delivery.
* Support in shaping and delivering the business agenda for Premium Beer brands through the development of annual operating, marketing and commercial plans.
* Collaborate with commercial colleagues with customer presentations & new business pitches – championing the wider Premium Beer portfolio.
* Lead extended cross-functional teams to become brand led, owning key brand metrics and connections to other functions.
* Work with Commercial Growth teams to create, communicate & align brand, commercial and category plans, setting the standards for how our Premium Beer brands show up along the off-trade path to purchase.
* Actively contribute to the Premium Beer brand marketing team, offering support and development of Brand Managers/ Assistant Brand Managers as needed.
* Manage agency relationships and motivate them (creative, activation, packaging) to produce exceptional work for the brands.
* Accountable for the in-year performance of KPI’s, partnering with Brand Operation colleagues to deliver clear and simple insight with actions where needed.
* Own delivery of brand AOP objectives, annual budget and provide input across total brand P&L, including consumer, shopper and customer investments.


Experience and Key Attributes

* Brand leadership experience is needed, preferably in FMCG, ideally working on a significant scale brand.
* Experience leading and executing NPD launches to market with experience in A&P budget control.
* High level of Brand P&L value management experience.
* Experience of working with 3rd party creative and activation agencies.
* Strong project management, planning and delivery skills.
* Cross functional leadership capability, both internally and with 3rd party strategic partners.
* Creativity in delivering an inspiring and compelling vision and brand strategy.
* Experience in strategic brand and business planning with sound evidence of consumer & shopper insight-led strategy implementation.
* Demonstrable track record of success driving a brand-led agenda within commercial, matrix organisations, resulting in brand equity growth and enhanced business profitability.
* Experience in leadership of teams within matrix structures and the ability to develop people.
