SEN Assistant (Autism Specialist)
📍 Warrington | 🗓 Start Date: After May Half Term 2026
⏰ Part-time | Temporary

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Assistant to support pupils within a primary-focused educational setting in Warrington. The environment is inclusive and nurturing, with a strong commitment to personalised learning and helping every child feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.

The Role
You will support children with autism and additional needs across Early Years and primary age groups, helping them to access learning in a way that meets their individual needs. This includes supporting communication development, emotional regulation, sensory-based learning experiences, and structured daily routines that promote confidence and independence.

Working closely with teaching staff, you will help implement individual learning plans and provide consistent, supportive interventions that enable pupils to make meaningful progress both academically and socially. Your role will be key in creating a calm, predictable environment where every small step forward is recognised and valued.

What You'll Need

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience supporting children with autism and additional needs in Early Years and/or primary settings (Key Stage 1 and 2)
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education
Awareness of sensory needs, communication support, and positive behaviour approaches
