As an Elite Security Officer, you will safeguard high-value assets, personnel, and premises through advanced security protocols and proactive threat mitigation. Exceptional situational awareness, professionalism and the ability to respond swiftly are essential.
Job Overview
- Protect customer property, people and/or assets across a designated area and multiple locations in accordance with published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements, supporting contract retention.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
- Travel to different locations within the predetermined geographical area.
Main Duties
Operations
- Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Complete all on‑site tasks and duties as defined within the published AI’s.
- Review and familiarise yourself with any changes to the AI’s, suggesting amendments that would improve or enhance service levels.
- Maintain conformity with Industry and Statutory legislation, wearing the required front‑line licence at all times.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work systematically, methodically and orderly.
Training
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge.
- Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Identify and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
- Exercise common sense and initiative by promptly involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Record accurate, detailed notebook entries after any incident for the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the AI’s.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous security experience.
- SIA Licence (Door Supervisor, preferable).
- Own transport or access to public transport.
