Overview
Asda Opticians in Bournemouth, United Kingdom is seeking an Optometrist. The role involves eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations, and working with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train and coach staff and maintain departmental standards. Responsibilities
* Complete eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations
* Support the Dispensing Optician Manager with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards
* Deliver wide range of eye care services under NHS extended contracts and pursue additional accreditations as needed
* Develop and support professional development within the team; participate in CPD program with protected time
* Optional opportunity to supervise students for GOC registered professionals
* Collaborate with in-store, regional and home office teams for clinical and service queries
Qualifications
* Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
* Registered performer with NHS area team or health board
* MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months; funded by Asda)
* On track to meet CPD points requirement
* Ability to deliver excellent customer experience and develop new patient services
* Right to work in the UK; evidence of NHS performer list as applicable; if applying in Wales, WECS/WGOS accreditation
