The RxCelerate group provides a platform for out-sourced drug discovery and development services and has a client base ranging from virtual biotech companies to multinational pharmaceutical companies. We design and deliver complete drug development programmes and project management for our clients from inception through to Phase II clinical studies. The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and contributing to the success of effective communication and marketing strategies across RxCelerate and affiliates. This role involves managing both internal and external communication channels and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, including the media, employees, clients, and the biotech sector. This position is a newly created role within the organisation to propel the company’s image through regular messaging and strategy. This position is ideal for those with demonstrable experience with an interest in science, looking to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities STRATEGY • Develop and implement short- and long- term communication and marketing strategies. • Maintain an awareness of marketing opportunities arising in the media and work with senior management to take advantage of and manage them. • Foster new and existing marketing relationships. • Develop the company’s voice to align with branding, mission, and values. CONTENT CREATION AND EDITING • Develop, write, and edit content for various communication channels, including social media posts, website content, media articles, intranet, company meetings, newsletters, and posts for the Babraham Research Campus app. • Design and create informative and interesting scientific content with appropriate stakeholders across the different departments particularly focussing on marketing our key technologies. • Ensure that all content is accurate, engaging and aligned with the company’s messaging and branding. • Contribute to the preparation of scientific posters and journal publications across the business. • Prepare and help coordinate company press releases and any media platforms such as webinars, podcasts, photos, and videos. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT • Develop and execute social media strategy to increase engagement and outreach. • Work closely with the Social Media Team to increase and align content across the business. • Monitor social media platforms, respond to comments, engage with other accounts, and provide and manage any external communication as required. • Help increase awareness of RxCelerate through content and search engine optimisation activities. INTERNAL COMPANY COMMUNICATIONS • Coordinate internal communications to keep employees informed and engaged. • Manage internal newsletters, the intranet, and any other communication channels. • Provide communications training for employees. EVENT PLANNING AND PROMOTION • Assist in planning and promoting events. • Prepare event materials and help ensure successful event execution. • Actively participate as part of the Product Launch Team by developing and implementing a communication framework for new innovations and services and ensuring all content is publication ready. • Identify new opportunities to build brand awareness. BUDGET AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT • Conduct regular reporting on the engagement and growth of digital channels including website, social media, and internal channels. • Use web tools and analytics data to measure and help drive growth in communications reach and evaluate progress. • Maintain a database of key contacts and email marketing lists ensuring compliance with GDPR.
