We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Equine House Vet to join our large multidisciplinary equine referral hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly experienced team of specialists and clinicians managing a diverse and challenging caseload across medicine, surgery, lameness, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, and emergency services.
This role is ideally suited to a vet looking to further develop their clinical skills in a busy hospital environment while gaining exposure to advanced referral‑level equine practice.
Responsibilities
* Management and monitoring of hospitalised equine patients
* Assisting with emergency admissions and intensive care cases
* Supporting surgical, medical, and diagnostic procedures
* Participation in anaesthesia support and perioperative care
* Involvement in lameness evaluations and diagnostic imaging cases
* Communication with owners and referring veterinarians
* Accurate clinical record keeping and case management
* Participation in the out‑of‑hours and weekend rota
Facilities
* Full surgical suite and recovery facilities
* Advanced diagnostic imaging (MRI, standing CT, scintigraphy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy)
* On‑site laboratory
Qualifications
* A Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS with experience working as part of a clinical veterinary team
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
* Clear and confident communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork and a positive and proactive attitude to learning and development
* An interest in evidence‑based veterinary medicine and clinical best practice
* Professionalism, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in a busy clinical environment
