We are looking for a decisive and experienced Commercial Operations manager to join one of our team, with a clear mandate to elevate and develop key relationships with commercial partners for Windows and Roofing contracts. You will lead high-performing team, focused on driving efficiency, safety, and profitability across all projects.
This is a hands-on, strategic position that will define the future shape of operational delivery within the business. You will take full ownership of the contract life cycle from sourcing to project outcomes—leading by example, implementing best practice, and ensuring high standards across the board.
We need a forward-thinking leader who can strengthen existing structures, introduce smarter ways of working, enhance client satisfaction, and maximise output across complex construction programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of project delivery, empowering the team to enhance performance and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Create business opportunities, through new and existing relationships, within the construction industry.
* Review and design key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational activities, and report findings at senior management team meetings.
* Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained across all areas of the Department.
* lead the commercial division to improve efficiency, maximise workforce utilisation, and broaden operational capabilities.
* Lead and support team leaders and departmental managers, fostering their professional development and future growth.
* Oversee the management of commercial contracts, ensuring successful delivery and exceptional customer service.
Knowledge and Experience
* Proven experience with leadership and management of both office and trades teams, to ensure cohesions and success.
* Experience working in commercial construction contracts environment.
* Experience leading an operational function going through development and change.
* Design and deliver challenging targets, motivating teams to gain buy in and setting up teams for success.
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting and hitting gross margin targets
