Administrative Assistant Salary : £23,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience Hours: 8:30 am 4:30 pm (Monday Friday) Job Type: Full Time Location: Hove, Portslade Company Website: Sash Window Restorations About Us At Sash Window Restorations, we specialise in the repair, restoration, and manufacture of traditional wooden sash windows, timber casement windows, front entrance doors, and French doors. Based in Brighton & Hove, we work in customers' homes across Sussex. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality craftsmanship and building strong relationships with our clients. As our business continues to grow, were looking to welcome a proactive and organised Administrative Assistant to join our friendly office team and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Job Overview As our new Administrative Assistant, youll play a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the business run seamlessly. From managing schedules to handling enquiries and invoicing, your work will directly support the service excellence were known for. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, has strong time management skills, enjoys working collaboratively, and delivers exceptional customer service. You'll often be the first point of contact for customers, so a friendly, professional manner is a must. If you're highly organised, have a warm and professional telephone manner, and enjoy getting things done efficiently, wed love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Customer Communication: Respond to phone calls and emails in a warm, professional, and timely manner. Proactive Time Management: Use time efficiently, anticipate workload demands, and stay ahead of schedule. Diary Management: Book appointments, coordinate schedules, and help to manage both the surveyor and fitting diaries. Invoicing & Quotes: Issue invoices and assist in reviewing quotes with attention to detail. Customer Service: Handle enquiries, provide updates, and deliver a high standard of customer support. Administrative Support: Assist the team with general administrative tasks and maintain accurate records. Data Entry & Record Keeping: Ensure all systems are updated accurately and on time. Key Skills & Experience Customer Service Excellence: Confident in handling phone calls with a polite and professional manner. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport. Time Management & Organisation: Ability to manage time effectively, stay on top of deadlines, and prioritise tasks efficiently. Computer Proficiency: Confident using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Typing: Fast and accurate typing skills. Teamwork: Enjoys working collaboratively and supporting others. Positive Attitude: Proactive, solutions-focused, and friendly. Accounting Software (Preferred): Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is an advantage (but not essential).
