The Role
This full-time role involves covering lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure continuity in learning across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
You will be expected to:
* Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across different key stages
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively
* Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
* Adapt quickly to new classroom routines and expectations
* Mark pupils' work and provide feedback for the regular teacher
* Follow all school policies and safeguarding procedures
* Support the learning and well-being of all pupils
* Communicate professionally with staff and pupils
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working within EYFS, KS1, or KS2
* Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management
* Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt quickly
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
