Introduction to the role

You will work closely with our care team and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of person-centred care.
As a Nurse, you will assess individual needs, develop care plans, and ensure that medical, physical, and emotional requirements are met. Safe medication administration is essential, and all nurses receive additional training to maintain competency and knowledge of medications used in our homes.
A key aspect of the role is supporting care staff to deliver high-quality care. You should be a team player, passionate about fostering a team ethos. Candidates must have a current NMC registration, a good knowledge of clinical practices, experience in developing care plans, and understanding of regulatory frameworks. Dedication, compassion, approachability, and a commitment to person-centred care are essential qualities.
Main Duties
* Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate personalized nursing care to meet residents' needs and uphold Orchard Care Homes' standards.
* Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity, respecting their rights to privacy, independence, and choice.
* Lead, supervise, support, and develop the care team.
* Maintain excellent communication with external professionals, residents, and relatives.
