Who You Are You are an experienced social worker dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and families. You have significant post-qualifying experience in working with children, and possibly expertise in managing cases of abuse. You possess a solid understanding of social work theories, legislation related to children and families, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are committed to safeguarding the welfare of young people, are capable of working independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams, and are adept at organizing and prioritizing your workload. What the Job Involves The role involves partnering with children and their families to address social, emotional, and environmental needs. You will assess risks and needs, coordinate services, and ensure the delivery of high-quality support to improve the quality of life for children and families. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing multi-agency plans, fulfilling statutory duties, and occasionally representing the Authority in court. You are expected to undertake day duties, such as telephone calls and meetings, while maintaining detailed, confidential records.
