The Emergency Department is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our reception and administration team on a full-time basis.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support for the Emergency Department, which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The successful candidate will work a rota that includes days, nights, and twilight shifts.
Requirements include good all-round administration skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service experience, and computer literacy.
The role requires attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet departmental targets. A strong emphasis on customer service and the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Accurately recording all related data for new and follow-up attendances on HIVE, updating patient details as necessary.
2. Liaising with North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and other external agencies to obtain patient information, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
3. Entering appointments on Adastra for suitable patients to see a GP or ENP.
4. Coordinating follow-up appointments for the A&E Review Clinic and scheduling scans or other appointments to appropriate departments.
5. Recording information for patients with disclosed NFA status and referring to the local authority if required, as well as recording details for overseas patients.
