An established engineering and plant services provider is seeking an experienced Mobile Fitter to join its service team, based from a North West depot. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting plant and specialist equipment used within the construction sector, both on customer sites and within a workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on plant and specialist equipment Attend customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas (including overnight stays when required) Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults Prepare equipment for hire or sale when working from the workshop Work effectively within a busy service environment, meeting deadlines and quality standards Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers to ensure work is completed efficiently Skills & Experience Time-served Mechanical Fitter or equivalent experience Background in plant maintenance or heavy equipment servicing preferred Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to travel as part of the role Qualifications & Requirements Full UK Driving Licence (essential) NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (minimum) CSCS card (preferred) Working Pattern Full-time, Monday to Friday Overtime and weekend work may be required Benefits Company pension scheme Company vehicle/van provided for commuting Sick pay Bonus scheme Annual performance-related bonus Equal Opportunities The employer is an equal opportunities organisation and is committed to creating an inclusive working environment.
