We are seeking to appoint a Researcher-in-Residence to join our growing research team as part of the Older Adults Social Care Research (OSCaR) group at the University of York. The post holder will be involved in delivering the Curiosity Partnership, our flagship programme for facilitating greater social care research collaboration between universities and local authorities in the region.
Role
* To act as Researcher-in-Residence under the supervision of senior colleagues and to contribute to the production and impact of research.
* To assist in the identification and development of potential areas of research and the development of proposals for independent or collaborative research projects.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
* Undergraduate degree in a social or health science
* Knowledge in social care to engage in high quality research
* Detailed knowledge of the operations and constraints within adult social care and local authority social care services
* Interest in and enthusiasm for developing research curiosity and engagement in local authority settings
* Highly developed communication skills to engage effectively with a wide ranging audience, both orally and in writing, using a range of media
