Culinary (Prepared Foods / Bakery) UK Supervisor - Full Time

Assists with supervision of Team Members and manages the day-to-day flow of the assigned area. Supports Team Leadership (Retail Floor Lead or Team Leader, and Associate Retail Floor Lead) to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* Supervises and delegates tasks to Team Members.
* Works with Team Leadership and Store Trainer to train Team Members, building a high-performance team and minimizing turnover.
* Assists in training new Team Members using learning checklists and training materials.
* Ensures all necessary breaks are scheduled and taken by Team Members.
* Communicates team concerns and attendance issues to Team Leadership.
* Supports the achievement of high standards of retail execution.
* Maintains cleanliness, stock levels, and proper rotation of all areas, cases, and shelves.
* Resolves difficult customer situations effectively.
* Monitors customer flow and needs, directing Team Members accordingly to enhance customer experience.
* Models and communicates WFM vision and goals.
* Ensures compliance with procedures related to weights and measures, alcohol sales, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
* Maintains a clean, sanitary environment and proper equipment maintenance.
* Follows cash handling procedures, including reconciliation and administrative responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Understanding of WFM quality goals, food handling, safety, and merchandising standards.
* Strong basic math skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to deliver clear and respectful communication.
* Customer service orientation.
* Ability to follow directions, manage time effectively, and organize tasks efficiently.
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Experience:
12+ months retail experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
* Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
* Standing/walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
* Use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
* Exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90°F.
* Ability to work in wet and cold environments.
* Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
