Cover Supervisor – Shaftesbury (Start ASAP)
A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Shaftesbury is seeking to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor to join their team immediately.
This is a rewarding role for a proactive and self-assured individual who can help maintain continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent. The position is particularly suitable for graduates considering a career in teaching, as well as experienced education staff looking to broaden their skill set.
Responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing whole classes across KS3 and KS4 following set lesson plans
* Promoting a calm, respectful, and focused classroom environment
* Adhering to the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
* Supporting pupils with tasks and encouraging positive participation
* Working closely with staff to share relevant feedback on student progress
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
* Experience working with young people of secondary school age
* Strong behaviour management and classroom confidence
* A professional, adaptable approach to working across different subjects
* Clear communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning support
* A degree or relevant educational background (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
