Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to oversee the young people within our supported accommodation sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations whilst managing a team of practitioners and young people. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent relationship management abilities, and a passion for making a difference to young people's lives.
Responsibilities
* To provide high quality care/support services that supports the needs of the Young People, to be an advocate for their well-being and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.
* Responsibility for establishing and maintaining a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, working collaboratively with internal and external partners and the people we support to deliver Creative Living Care’s vision and values.
* To support and take part in the completion of assessments and placement reviews, involving the Young People and providing ongoing support both in relation to their own home and moving on
* Ensure all necessary documentation required by regulators is completed to a high standard and be available for inspections, checks or interviews as requested
* Ensure that auditing, reviews and monitoring is carried out within all services to maintain key performance indicators, including, risk assessments and support, health and finances documents are kept live and up to date and signed
* Ensure the delivery of person-centered, flexible and responsive support services maximising independence, choice and dignity for the people being supported, using individual support planning, risk management arrangements and input from other agencies
* Maintain positive working relationships and communications with relevant external agencies: commissioners, social workers, providers and health professionals
* Ensuring robust safeguarding arrangements are maintained at all times, following effective systems in place for staff training, responding to alerts, reporting, investigating and liaising with other agencies; ensuring that in addition to Creative Living Care’s policy and procedure, those of OFSTED and relevant commissioning authorities are followed
* To adhere to the Organisation’s health and safety standards and comply with the responsibilities listed in the H&S policy
* To work on a rota basis to include weekends and bank holidays, as required
* To plan, co-ordinate and authorise Young People’s rota’s using Rota Cloud, ensuring shifts and time off are planned to maintain 24 hour staff care/support and consistent support to meet Young People's needs and to ensure fairness amongst the team
* To train, coach, and develop the teams through induction training, on-job coaching, supervisions and appraisal
* Ensure the provision of an effective out of hours on-call service; participate in the on-call duties as required
* Have a strong understanding of The Supported Accommodation Regulations (2023) and Ofsted framework, guidance and requirements.
Person Specification
* Proven experience in a managerial role with at least 2 year's experience
* Previous experience, of working with Young People, in particular, those that may have additional support needs
* Desirable Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and/or Children & Young People's Workforce. Can be completed during employment.
* The ability to drive is and use of own vehicle is essential to be able to visible across the service
